19 May Match Preview: ASC vs. Riverside Coras – May 19, 2019
This week, Sunday May 19th, ASC San Diego is on the road to play versus the Riverside Coras at J.W. North Stadium. The 2019 NPSL season in drawing quickly to a close and the differential between Southwest Conference leaders is razor thin. With eyes set on the postseason, ASC San Diego will look for a similar result from their last matchup with the Coras after securing a 3-2 victory at Mission Bay Stadium.
Last week ASC played strong in a very physical match against one of its rivals and playoff contenders FC Arizona. Though resulting in a loss, ASC was able show its abilities in assessing situations and regrouping in real time. They were able to keep the visitors to only two goals which were scored in the early minutes of the match. The remainder of the 90 minutes had FCAZ on the defensive as ASC gave full force to their efforts to find the back of the net.
With solid scoring attempts coming from Dallin Cutler, Elijah Rice, and Christian Enriquez, it seemed inevitable that they would light up their side of the scoreboard. Though, this was not meant to be. ASC San Diego is still very much in the running for postseason play and they are as determined as ever to get there.
Join ASC on May 25th at home in Mission Bay Stadium for another momentous double header featuring ASC San Diego Women kicking off at 4 against the San Diego Sea Lions. Following immediately after will be ASC’s Men kicking off at 7 p.m. against A.S. Los Angeles. One ticket gets you into both matches. Purchase them here
