24 Oct Albion SC PROS has announced the re-signing of Head Coach Ziggy Korytoski for the 2017 NPSL season
Coming off an UNDEAFEATED Season, Albion SC PROS has announced the re-signing of Head Coach Ziggy Korytoski for the 2017 NPSL season.
Korytoski joined Albion SC during their inaugural campaign in the NPSL and helped guide them to the Southwest Conference Championship with an unbeaten regular season. The Albion PROS advanced all the way to the National Quarterfinals before falling to the NPSL Runner-up Sonoma County Sol.
“Ziggy brings experience, knowledge and passion that fuels this project. We believe his leadership and ability to execute the vision of the organization makes him the guy to lead us into the 2017 season. Noah Gins, Executive Director
Prior to taking the reins at Albion, Korytoski was credited with building the foundation of Antigua GFC in Guatemala who just recently performed in the CONCACAF Champions League for the first time. During his managerial stint abroad he led Antigua GFC to promotion in his first season before moving on to Deportivo Coatepeque where he transformed the team mid-season and helped saved them from relegation. Working over 4 years in Guatemala, his teams accumulated a 52 W – 19 D – 27 L record which included a 27-game unbeaten streak at home.
“With where we are going we will need the capabilities of Ziggy both on and off the field leading the way and holding true to the core of where we believe we can take this project. We are very excited to return Ziggy to the lead role of the Albion PROS. Noah Gins, Executive Director”
A part from Albion SC, Korytoski is currently involved as the Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach at San Diego State University and has helped them reach a national ranking as high as #7 in the country.
“I believe in Noah, I believe in this club (Albion SC PROS), I believe in this community, and I believe that we have established a foundation of excellence that allows for focus on the process to establish the results.” said Korytoski. “What we created, developed and achieved in our first year is just the tip of the iceberg going forward… I’m excited.”
“I believe I am fortunate to be with the right club at the right time, and look forward to the responsibility of guiding the PROS into the future.”
The Albion SC PROS are scheduling trial dates for new players on November 20, 2016 and welcome all that believe they can represent professional soccer in San Diego at the highest level. For more information or to register, please view their webpage at www.albionscpros.com.
